Question by Chantal S: When should i put my Guppy and Molly fry into the tank?
I have 20 guppy and molly fry in a plastic floating breeder but its not that big(i have no room for a breeding tank). I want to move them int to a 15 gallon tank with the rest of the liveberiars. I also have about 5 ghost shrimp. Will the ghost shrimp eat them? When should i put the baby into the tank so they wont get eaten or sucked up in the filter?
Thanks for the help!Best answer:
Answer by Vic G
Depending on the size they might get eaten by the fish in the tank (including parents). I would leave the fry in the breeder trap untill they are about 4 – 6 weeks old. By then they should be big enough to survive on their own. What do you think? Answer below!

The number of tropical fish that an aquarium can hold depends on the volume of the fish tank. The interior dim?
Filed under GardeningJun 20Question by funvonne: The number of tropical fish that an aquarium can hold depends on the volume of the fish tank. The interior dim?
The number of tropical fish that an aquarium can hold depends on the volume of the fish tank. The interior dimensions of the fish tank below are 29 cm, 41 cm, and 50 cm. Each fish requires 10,000 cubic centimeters of water. How many tropical fish will this fish tank hold?Best answer:
Answer by Paul
Volume is length*width*height, so just multiply all three dimensions together.29*41*50 = 59,450
Then divide by 10,000, which is how much room each fish needs, and you’ll find how many fish you can fit:
59450/10,000 = 5.945 fish
But you can’t have a fraction of a fish, so you must round down. There is not enough room for 6, so only 5 fit.
Hope this helps

Answer by Kit_kat
you would have to check but you also need a filter and a light ( the light doesn’t have to stay on more than 8-10 hours a day )
It really doesn’t cost that much I had one and when all the fish died i didn’t continue and really didn’t notice much of a difference in the eletrc bill. What do you think? Answer below!

In a 20g, a school of tetras, a school of corys, maybe some danios, a small pleco such as a clown or bristlenose. And that should be all to stay on the safeside. Or you could try a pair of dwarf cichlids with some dither fish. It all depends on your filtration, get a 40g rated filter to always be safe and not have to worry about overloading your boi capacity. What do you think? Answer below!

The best thing I would recommend is to do as much research as possible because everyone has different ways of setting up tanks. Your best bet would be to join a website called 3reef.com. They will be able to answer all your questions regarding fish tanks. Also about.com goes over alll the basics of setting up a new fish tank. What do you think? Answer below!

When the fry are large enough that they don`t fit in the parents mouths, then they can go back in the tank with the adults. I would say 4-6 months old.Know better? Leave your own answer in the comments!

What are some tropical fish that can fit in a 15 gallon and add color to the tank?
Filed under GardeningApr 13Question by Amanee o: What are some tropical fish that can fit in a 15 gallon and add color to the tank?
I really wanted mollies but when I found that they’re live bearers and breed all the time I really don’t want baby fishes all around the tank. So what are some small tropical fish that have color? and if I do get mollies how can you tell a male from a female?Best answer:
Answer by Happybunny664
fancy guppies are colorful and the pet store people keep the females and males separate or else they would breed like crazy so you wouldn’t need to know how to tell if they were male or femaleAdd your own answer in the comments!

That depends on what other fish you have in the main tank. They must be big enough that they are not seen as a food by the other fish. What do you think? Answer below!

Question by MELANiE♥: tropical fish in a tank that has previously had salt water fish in it?
Can i put tropical fish in an aquarium tank that has previously had salt water fish in it? If it is possible, how should i clean the salt out of it? Anything will be helpful! thanks.Best answer:
Answer by BettaHelp
If it is glass, then I would put boiling water in it, even though a dab of salt wont hurt your fish, you don’t want to risk it! Or, you can use soap and scrub, but make sure to wash it all out—even a little bit of soap could be dealthy to your fish!!!
